Going To Baguio From Clark Airport Via Partas Bus
Baguio City is definitely the Philippine’s summer capital. The cool climate is perfect for those who wish to relax and unwind. Some of the famous spots that travelers frequent include: Burnham park, Session Road, Mine’s View park, Camp John Hay, Riverside Hotel, among others.
There are plenty of means to go to Baguio. Some prefer to travel either by car or bus. If one prefers to travel by air, Asian Spirit has scheduled flights to Baguio.
From Clark airport, there is a service which is being operated by Partas Bus. The bus stops at the airport and from there, heads north. The fare is 193 pesos and the schedule of departure is at 5:00 PM. The passenger should get off at Sison; travel time is usually for about 3 hours, depending on other factors. Upon arrival at Sison, the road to the restaurant opposite must be crossed and from there, there is a Victory Liner bus going to Baguio. The fare costs 90 pesos. Normally, there is waiting time from Sison, but the travel time from there to Baguio is approximately 1 ½ hours.
Getting around in Baguio is fairly easy. If the traveler does not have a car, jeepneys and cabs are available. The current flag down rate for the cab is 25 pesos for the first 500 meter, plus an additional 1 peso and 50 centavos for every additional 100 meters. For a whole day rate of 1,800-2,000 pesos, depending on the service company provider, cabs may be booked as well.
For those who wish to simply eat out, there are restaurants in Baguio that include: Barrio Fiesta, Forest House Bistro & Café, Café by the Ruins, etc.
Baguio also has small hotels and pension houses. Some of them are Burnham Hotel Baguio, Microtel Inns and Suites Baguio, Hotel Veniz, Hotel Elizabeth etcetera. For those who are on a budget, the Baguio Backpackers may very well be the place to go to because of its low rates.
Two of the most to-do lists include horseback riding in Wright Park and witnessing the Panagbenga, a flower festival held every February. Participants usually wear costumes and dance on the streets to amuse and entertain the crowd. During the Panagbenga, there are also colorful floats and street parades which definitely attract a large number of tourists and travelers yearly.
After the whole experience in Baguio, it is a common thing to buy food and souvenirs to take home to friends and relatives. Some of the celebrated things are the hand-woven articles and wooden carvings. The most common food available are peanut brittle, ube halaya (purple yam), and strawberry jam.
