Rose Bowl in Baguio City

If we grew up in Baguio City the first Chinese restaurant we probably went to there was Rose Bowl. And after Rose Bowl, Baguio wed probably never try any other restaurant.

Baguio old timers, even frequent visitors, would remember Rose Bowl, Baguio when it used to be the only restaurant in town serving anything worth the high price people paid foods for. That was some years ago. Today, its still there and still preferred by numerous Baguio folks and regular and new tourists.

Located along Harrison Road near its intersection with Magsaysay Avenue, Rose Bowl, Baguio serves good Chinese cuisines, lush with fresh Baguio vegetables. The cooking is similar with those found in Binondo, with a slight difference perhaps in the freshness of veggies used.

Dont ever miss their legendary Chopped Suey. The dish is said to be the best in town to this day. An average meal order costs from Php 200 to Php 499, and this may suffice for two to three persons, depending on the dishes opted for. Rose Bowl, Baguio has special arrangements for family-size servings and special occasions like baptismal luncheons.

Rose Bowl, Baguio has spacious areas, long dining tables, Chinese characters even on the back rest of chairs, red circular Chinese lanterns, pin lighting on the ceiling, cheery colors and lighting effects, and the slight smell of tea and some Chinese aromatic herbs in the air, and of course, friendly staff.

Its right in front Burnham Park near its edge on Shanum Street. Also along Harrison Road are Baguio Condotel, Hotel Veniz, Sunshine Grocery, and Gracious Angeli Travel and Tours Hotel. Mabini Street is just a few steps from Rose Bowl, Baguio so its easy going to or coming from other places through public jeepneys on Mabini.

Just turn right at the corner of Harrison and Magsaysay, go past two blocks and we find ourselves on Session Road, Baguio Citys financial district. After lunch or early supper at Rose Bowl, Baguio we may opt to window shop or actually shop or simply linger around to enjoy watching passing folks and the regular life that happens in the city.

Rose Bowl, Baguio has been there for long. And as a rule, pioneers almost always turn out to be the best in their field of endeavor.
