Prices vary too. But what you pay for will be worth the product. You do have to remember that these articles are product of hard work and yet it is still a labor of love. Hard work in a sense that it is manual labor. A labor of love because what you see and what weavers do is a reflection of their beloved culture.
If you want internationally recognized woven articles, there are two places that is a must to visit. These are: Easter Weaving Room and Narda’s. Easter Weaving Room is located at Easter Road, Guisad while Narda's is located at Upper Session Road, Engineer’s Hill. Both, Easter Weaving Room and Narda’s, offer high quality woven articles. Their products are being exported which makes it world class. These products vary. They have hand woven bags, shawls, tapestries, rugs, pillows, and others.
What makes you appreciate more these products is that the people behind all of these began with a good intention. The weavers were given the opportunity to showcase their products. While others were taught how to weave with the intention of not only for recreational use but those young women will someday earn from their hard work and be able to help support their families.
